Forever Wild, Forever Rebellious
Fort Crown Point

Revolutionary History,

The Champlain Valley is rich in history. This includes significant native peoples’ history, European exploration and colonization, and the French Indian War (the Seven Years War). In addition, it was crucial during the American Revolution and pivotal in the War of 1812, ending the last British invasion of the northeast in the Battle of Plattsburgh.

We are proud to be located in the Champlain Valley, amid the allure of two 18th-century British and French-built forts nestled along the scenic shores of Lake Champlain. Intricately intertwined with regional and North American history, these forts are a source of inspiration with their rich heritage built within the breathtaking landscape.

Our farm distillery is immersed in this history. Our 10,000sf production facility is located on a 22-acre farm in Ticonderoga, NY. Our tasting room, Defiance Hall,  is located eight miles north in Crown Point, NY, in a fully restored 10,000sf sawmill built in 1820. We spent over nine years renovating this regional historical landmark into the perfect venue to experience War Cannon Spirits. The property was restored under the guidance of noted regional architect, Nils Luderowski.

The start of the Henry Knox Cannon Trail, the home of the original US Navy Fleet, the furthest north 'General' George Washington traveled, and the birthplace of the electric age are just a few notable events on our doorstep.
